What an LGBZ licence means for you as a Zambian punter
Every bookmaker we list is licensed by the Lotteries and Gaming Board of Zambia. Here is what that protects and what it does not.
COMEX Admin · 6 Sept 2026
Betting in Zambia is regulated by the Lotteries and Gaming Board of Zambia under the Betting Control Act. A licensed operator has to meet conditions on age checks, responsible gambling tools and paying out winnings.
What a licence gives you
- A complaints route. If a licensed bookmaker refuses to pay, you can complain to the Board.
- Age and identity checks, which also protect your account.
- Responsible gambling tools: deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion.
What it does not guarantee
- Fast withdrawals. Speed varies widely between licensed sites.
- Good odds or bonuses. That is why we compare them.
How to check
Licensed operators display their licence on the site footer. If you cannot find one, do not deposit.
Our policy
